Part of our routine here at Kamalei Preschool is to teach the children to love and respect their environment. Every morning, our Preschoolers line up and complete a 'Perimeter walk'. Where has the sunshine gone? The Early Years enjoyed singing and dancing outside when the sun was shining. Having a keyboard play changes the feel of the music time. Their brains are hearing pitch, tempo, rhythm, patterns but especially they learn to change their voice to suit. Who knows we may have a future pop star in our group😉 ... See more
My 5yo son doesn’t usually eat broccoli, which is fine with me. So imagine my surprise when he requested in cut up into tiny pieces this afternoon (coin for perspective). His reply to this was “not small enough”. So smaller they got and eaten they were. He had seen his friend eating broccoli at a play date this morning, and I think the size thing was to ensure he was eating it on his terms. The complicated psychology of children’s food!
